Jounce's most recent album, "Meet Me in the
Middle" was released April 4, 2011.
"These Things," was released to critical
acclaim in March 2009 and features guest appearances by Marco Benevento
(The Duo) and Tom Hamilton (American Babies/Brother's Past).
The band recorded a version of Miracle Legions
The Heart is Attached as part of a compilation released
in September 2009 titled, Ciao My Shining Star:The Songs of
Mark Mulcahy and dedicated to Miracle Legion front man Mark
Mulcahy. The compilation also featured Radioheadss Thom Yorke,
The National, Frank Black of the Pixies, Elvis Perkins, and others,
and was covered by media from Stereogum to Pitchfork.
Jounce
is now finalizing their new EP, "Meet Me In The Middle,"
which will be released at New York's CMJ Festival in October 2010.
The band is a mainstay at bars, clubs, music halls,
colleges and festivals up and down the eastern United States, consistently
building an audience, buzz and refining their presence in both the
live and studio settings. Jounce has been doing well developing
their NYC following at places like the Mercury Lounge, in New England
surrounding their former home of Amherst/Northampton, in the upper
south in places like Virginia and the Carolinas ,where some of the
band went to college (James Madison University) and through festival
plays in those regions.
