Few New England country acts have had such explosive success as the Country Mile Band (CMB). Their music has been called a "kicking" kind of country. From their foot stomping covers to their original music they will keep you dancing for sure. CMB has gained a solid reputation as New England's premier country music, dance, party and show band. If you look at the band's experience it's no surprise. The members of the CMB are no strangers to the performing world, with over 75 years combined experience. This includes from playing in symphony orchestras to one man traveling bands. The chemistry that has evolved from these five guys coming together is amazing.
Ed Freeman is a talented musician and songwriter. He has currently written all of the CMB original songs. Freeman has played in bands now spanning over 4 decades. Whether it is his chicken pickin' lead guitar or his bluesy harmonica you can hear how Ed is such a dynamic contributor to the CMB's sound. Bass player Glenn Petrucci adds the driving pulse that gets people dancing. He has performed many styles of music - from country to rock and even a Symphony Orchestra. Glenn brings his 26 years of experience to enhance CMB's foot-stompin' sound. Paul Ciccio adds his classic rock background and that rocking country flavor to the CMB. Paul has been keeping toes tapping since he was a teenager. " He is as steady as a rock," many listeners have said. Len Amaral bought his first guitar when he was 14 years old. He has played in many different types of bands since then. Len has currently mastered the sweet sounds of the pedal steel guitar. Like Freeman he is a multiple instrument musician. Stephen Lombari, lead vocalist, rounds out the talent for the CMB. Stephen is a talented performer whose interest in music started at an early age. His career as a singer and published songwriter started in 1990. In 2003 he made several appearances at Tootsies in Nashville TN. He started his own publishing company in 2004. Stephen brings an upbeat and energized style to the stage. "The Country Mile Band is one of Massachusetts' most consistent up and coming bands. They have a great following and are a band to watch." Ginny Rodgers, Music Director WKLB 99.5FM in Boston "The Country Mile band is the best band we have seen around here in a long time. Look for them to be among this years award winners." Barb Freeman of the Massachusetts Country Music Association. "Awesome show, simply awesome!" Foxboro Reporter News
